Job description Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile About the Role Manipal Hospitals is seeking dedicated and compassionate Ward Nurses to provide high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to inpatient wards. The role involves delivering safe, patient-centric care, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and nursing standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients as per physician's orders and hospital protocols. Assess, monitor, and document patients' clinical conditions and promptly report any changes to the treating physician. Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate nursing documentation in patient records. Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures. Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed at all times. Maintain patient safety by adhering to quality and safety protocols. Coordinate with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, and support departments to ensure seamless patient care. Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide basic life support when required. Ensure proper handover during shift changes and maintain continuity of care. Maintain nursing equipment and ensure availability of required consumables. Adhere to hospital policies, nursing ethics, NABH standards, and statutory guidelines. |
